He is not known for his interest in the affairs of our continent. He was certainly not interested in his 1st term in office and I doubt he would be this 2nd term (beyond cutting of "donor aid" to your country South Africa).
I don't personally mind if Trump-controlled USA is not interested. After all, whenever the USA is interested in Africa, it is always to meddle and cause chaos. So, it may be a blessing in disguise, if Trump doesn't care.
If Trump cares enough to recognize Somaliland then that would be a plus for the Horn of Africa as it would deter Egypt and Turkey who seem to be getting ready to incite Somalia against Somaliland. Last thing we need is another conflict between these two ethnic Somali states
