Do we know where the division of the population between the old (RC, Methodist, ...) and Pentecostal churches lies? Is the government largely representative of a population following 'old' Christian churches?
Uganda is 85% Christian and 15% Muslim. The government is a broad mixture of people who were raised as Catholics and Anglicans, but a significant minority are Pentecostal followers. Pentecostal Christian followers are better represented in the Parliament of Uganda than in the executive government itself. As would be noticed by many in the Western world, Pentecostal Christian legislators in the Parliament of Uganda have been busy passing sexual morality laws that upset left-leaning Democrat Party voters in the United States
Well done...I'm not surprised that pentecostals and their associated groups collect the vilest, nastiest types of christians in africa. It's a movement that soaked up the worst whites in America (and latinos, asians,, blacks.) People with an internal nastiness.
